CLOSED FOR WINTER PRESS RELEASE
CLOSED FOR WINTER, starring NATALIE IMBRUGLIA, released in cinemas across Australia April 2009
Closed for Winter will Premiere at the Adelaide Film Festival on February 27. The James Bogle-helmed film, starring Natalie Imbruglia and based on Georgia Blain’s acclaimed Australian novel of the same name, will open in cinemas across Australia in April 2009.
Closed for Winter is the emotional and poetic story of Elise, a beautiful young woman haunted by the disappearance of her sister when they were both children. Natalie Imbruglia stars as Elise in a stunning performance in her first leading film role.
“The film is about how we respond to grief and loss. It is about a woman who has been emotionally shut down for 20 years, but a series of events leads her to examine her past and discover the power within herself to recover and heal,” says producer Ben Grant.
Writer and Director James Bogle (In the Winter Dark, The Circuit) said: “Natalie Imbruglia has the serenity, charm and depth of character to play a woman quietly fighting for something more. She possesses a focused, no-nonsense approach to the craft of acting. She has the capacity to see the world in a certain way and there is a lot of compassion that she is feeding back into the world in all sorts of ways, so this film seemed right for her.”
Closed for Winter features extraordinary newcomer Tiahn Green as the young Elise, Danielle Catanzariti (Hey Hey It’s Esther Blueburger), Deborah Kennedy (The Sum of Us, Swimming Upstream), Daniel Frederiksen (Bastard Boys) and Tony Martin (Candy) as the family doctor who may hold the key to the disappearance.
"The impact of any major loss or tragedy when we are young doesn’t go away just because we grow up. Closed for Winter is a powerful story of hope and courage. I am tremendously grateful to Natalie Imbruglia for taking on a very demanding role and delivering such a mature, accomplished performance,” Ben Grant says.
Natalie Imbruglia will travel to Australia from the UK in support of the Australian premiere in Adelaide.

Update
Hi Guys,
Just wanted to give you an update on how we are coming along with the new
album.
We have reached the really exciting stage of choosing singles, putting a great
team together to create the artwork, photos and videos and are thinking of
exciting ways to get the music out there.
As you all know this record has been a long time coming but I feel it has been
worth the wait and the extra time I spent on it. I am very proud of it.
The album is going to include tracks I have written with Ben Hillier,
Dave McCracken, Daniel Johns, Gary Clark, Jamie Hartman, Paul Harris and Shep
Solomon amongst others.
If all goes to plan you will be able to hear the first single from the album
in February. Please register for all the latest information and keep
checking back to the site for updates. You never know there may even be a surprise or two on the audio and video player!

WELCOME
Well, here we are. Welcome to the freshly updated site and to a new chapter in my career. I am really excited to tell you that my new album is in the final stages of mixing and we are hoping to release it in the UK in May 2009.
It has taken longer than I would have hoped to get to this point (I will spare you the gory details) but it feels very good to be in a postion of control and being able to decide how this record will be delivered to the world.
For those of you who are based outside of the UK, we will be announcing our International release plans in early 2009 but will be giving you opportunities to listen to and purchase new music via this site.
I am looking forward to playing live as much as possible to support this record and will let you know about the live plans as soon as they come together.
Thanks as always for your patience and support.
